Titans Freak

What happens to teams that fall below .500 in the National Football League?
At 2-2, the Tennessee Titans have to get a spark if they want to make a run at the playoffs. They have lost two games at home but have won on the road. The Titans have revamped their defense from last year. Last year, one team, the New England Patriots, out scored the Titans 60 to 0. A beat up and rookie secondary had to learn their lesson the hard way against Tom Brady and Randy Moss. This year the Titans have improved their defense and are starting to look much like the Titans that we are all used to.
This weekend’s challenge is against Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are 1-2 and need a win just as much as the Titans. The Cowboys average 300 plus yards per game passing, which is double the number of average passing yards of Tennessee, with only 152 plus yards per game. The Titans are known to have an explosive running offense behind Chris Johnson who last year, finished the season with 2,006 rushing yards. In games that C.J. runs for 100 yards or more, they have resulted in wins versus when he does not run for 100 yards or more. Most are familiar with the speed of Johnson, who can make a three yard first down turn into a touch down on any hand-off.
The game plan for the Cowboys will probably be to shut down the running game. The Titans are excited to be playing the Cowboys in front of their Texas home. The Tennessee Titans plan to stick behind C.J. but execute their plays better. The defense on both teams seem to be very good, so it might be a low scoring match up. It is a must win for both teams, but there can only be one victor. You can catch all of the action Sunday September 10, Cowboy vs. Titans 3:15 CDT CBS.
